  Homicide investigators on scene after body found in Chilliwack Homicide investigators have been deployed to Chilliwack after the body of a man was found in a bank parking lot on Saturday night. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has identified the man as 58-year-old Charles Henry Klose. Police say Klose led a transient lifestyle and was known to frequent the downtown Chilliwack area. He was known to many in the community. Klose’s body was discovered at 11 p.m. in the rear parking lot of the ScotiaBank at 46059 Yale Road in the city’s downtown core. Witnesses say the body was located behind some dumpsters. The death is being treated as a homicide.

Spirit River RCMP was called in to help paramedics around 9 a.m. Thursday at the roadside on Highway 677 west of Highway 2 near the Woking turnoff. Officers determined the man’s death was suspicious , and Alberta RCMP Major Crimes was called in to take over the investigation.

The suspicious death of a man found off a rural highway near Spirit River last Thursday has been deemed a homicide.

Results of an autopsy conducted by the medical examiner’s office in Edmonton on June 12 ruled the man’s manner of death homicide, but police did not disclose how the person, a 19-year-old male from Clairmont, was killed. The name of the victim has not been released.

Spirit River RCMP was called to help paramedics last Thursday morning at the roadside on Highway 677 west of Highway 2 near the Woking Turnoff. Alberta RCMP Major Crimes took over the investigation after the man’s death was deemed suspicious.
