In a blog post published on Friday, the social network said it would audit all nomination-related events and remove those that violate its regulations.
This decision comes after the invasion of the seat of Congress by supporters of Donald Trump on January 6.
The FBI has warned of various armed protests planned in Washington and in the capitals of the 50 US states on January 20.
Facebook has also announced that it will impose restrictions, such as preventing certain accounts from broadcasting live videos, creating events or administering pages and groups "based on signals such as violating our regulations. . "
