It began with 200 students and 50 teachers, and operated in a space over a music store in the downtown area. The institution became the Royal Conservatory of Music in 1947, and remains Canada's largest and oldest music school. In 1916, Canadian contralto Kathleen Howard, a native of Niagara Falls, Ont., made her Metropolitan Opera debut as Third Lady in "The Magic Flute."  Howard spent 12 years with the Met, becoming the company's most popular character contralto. A Just 25 years, Ninho has established itself as a pillar of hexagonal rap, alongside Jul and NLP. A vertiginous climb for this reserved artist, who cultivates the mystery, but is determined to stay the undisputed leader of this scene, as he tells it in his new opus.

"Jefe" ("Chef" in Spanish, NDLR), its third album that comes out on December 3, is an invitation to a trip. A trip to try to pierce the "Success Story" of this rap, totally unknown five years ago.

"We do not know the life of a guy who arrives at the top, which happens to concretize his plan. We do not know the beginning, the base, the foundations. We often look at the house but never the foundations," says He in an interview at AFP.

Today in Music History - Nov. 23

Today in Music History - Nov. 23 Today in Music History for Nov. 23: In 1889, the Pacific Phonograph Company, owned by Louis Glass, installed the world's first jukebox at his Palais Royale Saloon in San Francisco. It was an Edison cylinder phonograph with one song, rigged to accept nickels. Glass called his innovation a "Nickel-in-the-Slot" machine, and the idea gave birth to jukebox arcades. In 1903, Italian tenor Enrico Caruso made his American debut at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, appearing in "Rigoletto." Caruso was the artist most responsible for transforming the phonograph from a novelty into a medium of home entertainment.

The foundations, these are the years of galley before drilling or his life in the city of a large Parisian crown, which he tells in titles like "RER d" or "Truth" and where he rents "the charm of the ghetto" .

Not only the story of a defector, "Jefe" - 15 titles including no collaboration-- is also a manifesto. That of a young man who started rap at 12 "by passion" and who is today one of his biggest heads.

Discreet and mysterious

, however, "N.I" ensures attempt to "keep your head cold and head on the shoulders". "The celebrity all that is not important. For me, the most important thing is to continue to create".

Create and stay away from the "clash", so common in the rap world. With his Poupin face, his clear voice, and his shyness that he could conceal, the rapper, very discreet in the media, had never cease to cultivate the mystery.

on the form, "Jefe" takes over the codes of its previous opus: learned mix between rocky and purely removable titles and other dancing and sung, like "Aicha", wink at the Khaled song, singer Algerian Raï.

Rumba, tones close to the rai or pop ... These mixtures, then little present in the rap a few years ago, allowed him to win on a hyper competitive scene. And to reflect in passing a female audience, until then abandoned by this environment.

Born in Longjumeau (Essonne, South of Paris) from parents from Congo Kinshasa, William Nzobazola, his real name, has music in the veins: his father Serge Kiambukuta is a singer of Rumba Congolese.

But voila, William, he, is only interested in the rap, that he practices without his parents' knowledge. Gradually, William will give way to Ninho, nickname that "the great of the city gave little ones, the + niños +" (children), he explains.

In 2014 releases its first mixtape (song compilations, NDLR): "They are not aware", a reference scarcely veiled to his parents. But the first years are difficult and the success is expected. "It was complicated at the beginning but trainer because I learned to work quickly, write fast, record and mix quickly," he says.
