Named the Healing Camp For Justice, the camp is reminiscent of a similar camp in Regina, where 14 teepees have been raised near the Saskatchewan Legislature.

According to the group's Facebook page, the first teepee was set up Tuesday night by Chris Martell, father of a 22-month-old boy who drowned while in foster care in 2010.

Initially set up in March, Regina's Justice for Our Stolen Children camp began after Gerald Stanley and Raymond Cormier were acquitted in the deaths of Colten Boushie and Tina Fontaine.

Representatives of the Regina camp met with three provincial cabinet ministers earlier this month. The provincial government wants the camp taken down.

In June, Regina police dismantled the camp, although it was brought back several days later.
