'Game of Thrones': Who will live and who will die in the Battle of Winterfell? Last week "Game of Thrones" teased its biggest battle of all time. When it airs this Sunday, how many characters will make it out alive? And will that disappoint fans?

“ Game of Thrones ” star Sophie Turner slammed fans’ calls for a petition to rewrite the final season of the HBO show as “ disrespectful .” A Change.org petition surfaced last week urging the network to “remake ‘ Game of Thrones ’ Season 8 with competent writers.”

Sophie Turner is not happy with the viral "Game Of Thrones" petition.

The actress, 23, who starred as Sansa Stark, chatted with The New York Times for a post-series finale interview and called the petition (from "GOT" fans who are outraged with the final season's writing) "disrespectful".

The petition, which blasted its creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff as “incompetent writers,” went viral and now has 1.2 million signatures and counting.

“All of these petitions and things like that — I think it’s disrespectful to the crew, and the writers, and the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years, and for 11 months shooting the last season,” Turner said. “Like 50-something night shoots. So many people worked so, so hard on it, and for people to just rubbish it because it’s not what they want to see is just disrespectful.”

And although she doesn't agree, she says she isn't "surprised" with the backlash.

“People always have an idea in their heads of how they want a show to finish,” Turner explained. “So when it doesn’t go to their liking, they start to speak up about it and rebel.”

She added, “The thing about ‘Game of Thrones’ that’s always been amazing is the fact that there’s always been crazy twists and turns, right from Season one with Ned’s beheading. So Daenerys becoming something of the Mad Queen — it shouldn’t be such a negative thing for fans. It’s a shock for sure, but I think it’s just because it hasn’t gone their way.”

In a separate interview, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, who played Turner’s brother Bran on the series, stands with Turner and told The Wrap, “I think the petition is just kind of a weird, juvenile gesture. It’s so irrelevant to start petitioning to remake a series. But I’m trying to put that stuff out of my mind. It’s just nonsense, really.”
