Jim Carrey has returned to his easel to create another biting piece of artwork, this one offering praise to one man and heaping scorn on another.

In his latest politically charged painting, the "Kidding" star comments on Jon Stewart's emotional testimony to Congress on Tuesday, when the "Daily Show" excoriated lawmakers for ignoring the plight of 9/11 first responders who are having difficulty obtaining their benefits while suffering from health ailments directly related to their heroic efforts on Sept. 11, 2001.

In the painting, Carrey depicts Jon Stewart entering a room followed by a pair of firefighters, switching on the lights and seeing cockroaches scurrying.

"And speaking of insects where is ‘America’s Mayor’? Shouldn’t Rudy be fighting for these people?,” Carrey added.

Inhumane practice of carving fins off live sharks to become illegal in Canada OTTAWA — Carving fins off live sharks and tossing them in the ocean to drown will be illegal in Canada as early as Friday. Importing shark fins that are no longer attached to sharks will also be against the law, as part of efforts to prevent Canada from being complicit in the practice of "shark finning" elsewhere. "It is a practice that is not sustainable and is inhumane," Fisheries Minister Jonathan Wilkinson said Thursday. Shark finning has been barred as a condition of getting a fishing licence in Canada since 1994 but legislation that passed through Parliament this week will turn those licensing conditions into law.
