  Dakota Johnson To Topline Mockumentary-Style Series ‘Rodeo Queen’ At Amazon Dakota Johnson is attached to executive produce and in Rodeo Queen, a mockumentary-style comedy, which Amazon Studios nabbed in a competitive situation from Platform One Media in association with TeaTime Pictures for series development. Christy Hall, the co-creator and executive producer of Netflix’s I Am Not Okay With This, created the series and will serve as showrunner. Portlandia co-creator Carrie Brownstein is directing. The new series, which will soon open its writers room, follows an ensemble of Rodeo Queen hopefuls as they compete for the coveted crown.

EXCLUSIVE: Aaron Altaras, star of Netflix’s critically acclaimed limited series Unorthodox, has signed with Brillstein Entertainment Partners for U.S. representation.

Altaras portrays Robert, the handsome romantic interest of the heroine, Esty, played by Israeli actress Shira Haas. Esty’s journey follows her out of the Satmar ultra-Orthodox sect in Williamsburg, N.Y. and into her newfound freedom in Berlin, where she meets Robert. The series is inspired by Deborah Feldman’s bestselling memoir of a young Jewish woman’s escape from a religious sect.

  Pete Davidson and Colin Jost to Star in Wedding Comedy 'Worst Man' for Universal Saturday Night Live co-stars Colin Jost and Pete Davidson are set to star side-by-side on the big screen in a new Universal Pictures comedy "Worst Man." The film, an original comedy written by Jost; Matthew Bass; and Theodore Bressman, is a wedding comedy that follows a soon to be married couple and the family dramatics that ensue just weeks before the wedding. The pair, both from New York's Staten Island borough, have been on SNL together since 2014. Jost, who started as a writer on the show currently co-hosts the popular Weekend Update segment with comedian Michael Che. Davidson has made numerous appearances on the segment.
