Beyond Bond: Sean Connery's 14 Most Memorable Non-007 Film Roles

Beyond Bond: Sean Connery's 14 Most Memorable Non-007 Film Roles "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" (1959) Sean Connery's first major Hollywood role came in this Disney film about a wily Irishman battling local leprechauns. The New York Times dismissed his performance, as a Dubliner who woos Darby's daughter as "merely tall, dark and handsome." "Marnie" (1964) After breaking out big time as James Bond in 1962's "Dr. No" and the 1963 sequel "From Russia With Love," Connery snuck in a role in this Alfred Hitchcock thriller as a wealthy widower who both falls for a mysterious woman with a checkered past played by Tippi Hedren.

This G-Wagen was imported from Germany in 2019, according to the listing description. Before the seller acquired it, the truck was repainted in Cactus green, and judging by the pictures, looks to be in near-perfect shape. Those 16-inch wheels pair perfectly with the color, and make it seem like the SUV just rolled off the factory floor, despite showing 87,000 kilometers (around 54,000 miles) on the odometer.

Things don't get any less exciting once you look inside. The seats are covered in a lovely period-correct checkered pattern cloth that goes perfectly with the rest of the car. All of the controls, as well as the dashboard and center console, look to be in great condition.

Easier, quicker saliva sampling eyed for next stage of COVID-19 testing

Easier, quicker saliva sampling eyed for next stage of COVID-19 testing TORONTO — A saliva-based COVID-19 test is likely to be available this fall, say private and public health officials touting various methods under consideration across the country as lineups grow at COVID-19 assessment centres and cases emerge in newly reopened schools. Public Health Ontario's chief of microbiology and laboratory science lists several issues to be resolved before broad provincial use but expects saliva collection will soon make it easier to detect infection, especially among children and others unable to tolerate a nasopharyngeal swab. "I do foresee it being an option in the near term," Dr. Vanessa Allen said in a recent interview.

The truck is a 300GD model, equipped with a 3.0-liter inline-five diesel engine. It likely won't be the quickest thing on the road, but it's still powerful enough to keep up with modern traffic. And if you need to traverse your way over more difficult terrain, there's a two-speed transfer case and a locking rear differential onboard.

If you're in the market, you better move quickly. This G-Wagen is currently listed on Bring a Trailer with a high bid of $21,500 and just one day remaining. Considering its condition and mileage, we wouldn't be surprised to see it go for double that.
