  Stacey Abrams Writes Political Thriller About Law Clerk Who 'Controls the Fate of a Nation' While Justice Sleeps is an "intricately plotted" political thriller that will be published by Doubleday on May 25, 2021 , PEOPLE can exclusively announce. "A decade ago, I wrote the first draft of a novel that explored an intriguing aspect of American democracy — the lifetime appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court," Abrams, 46, tells PEOPLE in a statement. "As an avid consumer of legal suspense novels and political thrillers, I am excited to add my voice into the mix," she continues.

Warner Bros is expanding its partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises with news coming on a slew of projects, including a feature film based on the Seuss book Oh, the Places You’ll Go! that will be produced by Warner Animation Group and adapted by Bad Robot Productions, a project that will mark the feature animation debut for J.J. Abrams’ company. Abrams and Bad Robot head of motion pictures Hannah Minghella will produce the pic which is now scheduled for a 2027 release.

  ‘Supernatural’ Star Jensen Ackles Forms Production Company With Wife Danneel, Signs Overall Deal With Warner Bros. TV Supernatural star Jensen Ackles is staying in the Warner Bros television family after striking an overall deal with the production company that he has formed with his wife Danneel. The pair have launched Chaos Machine Productions and have hired former DC creative executive Renee Reiff as head of development. The overall deal will see the trio create, develop and produce new shows for streaming services, cable, and the broadcast networks. No financial terms were disclosed but it is an exclusive, multi-year agreement. It comes ahead of the launch of the final run of Warner Bros-produced Supernatural.

“Dr Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go! is full of the inspiration, imagination, wonder and hope that has encouraged and entertained readers of all ages for generations.,” Mignhella said. “It’s hard to imagine a more iconic or beloved book to bring to life as Bad Robot’s first animated feature for WB.”

Also on the Seuss front, Erica Rivinoja and Art Hernandez have come aboard as directors of The Cat in the Hat, the animated feature film based on Theadore Geisel’s iconic1957 children’s book. The film was announced it 2018 when the Warners-Seuss partnership was first set. That fully animated feature film will lead the companies’ slate and is targeting a 2024 release date.

A stand-alone feature film is also in the works based on Thing One and Thing Two, the characters that originated in Seuss’ seminal 1957 book Cat in the Hat. It is eyeing a 2026 bow.

The Warners-Seuss partnership has already teamed on the animated Netflix series Green Eggs and Ham, which features the voices of Michael Douglas and Adam Devine. That series, which bowed in November 2019, has already been renewed for a second season.
