Some pretty HUGE NEWS dropping tonight as several high profiled media outlets have reported that Jason Reitman is set to direct a brand new Ghostbusters

As Sony has now announced (via THR ), “Ghostbusters 3” has now been postponed again. The film was supposed to be on the big screen on March 4, 2021, now June 11, 2021 has been set as the new US launch date for “Ghostbusters: Legacy” . After all, an important date: on June 11, 1984, the first " Ghostbusters " film finally started.

In Germany, the new “Ghostbusters” should come to the cinemas on June 10, 2020, although there is now generally a very big question mark behind such dates.

Also "Candyman" and the "Don't Breathe" sequel have new release dates

Sony has now also determined that the sequel to "Don't Breathe" will be released in US cinemas on August 13, 2021 ( therefore probably with us on August 12).

There is also news from Universal. As reported by Variety , Nia DaCosta's “ Candyman ” reboot finally has a new start date - but one that is still a long way off. The last time the slasher was supposed to start in October 2020, it was then postponed to an indefinite date. A new US date has now been set: August 27, 2021 (= August 26 in Germany) .

Even if we still have to do without the really big blockbusters in the cinema, that does not mean that it is not worth going to the cinemas right now. Today, for example, the catastrophe thriller “ Greenland ” starts, which we will discuss in detail in the new episode of our love screen podcast:
