On Tuesday night (Oct. 27), Lil Baby and 42 Dugg teamed up to perform their hit “We Paid” at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards.

With dancers in tow, Baby and Dugg’s chemistry gleamed as they powered through the fiery stage with precision. After Dugg punched in his verse, Lil Baby zipped through his bars and even showed off his footwork in front of a blue backdrop. Once Baby finished his performance, he encouraged fans to go out and vote in this year’s upcoming election.

“We Paid” peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and resides on Lil Baby’s stellar sophomore album My Turn. This summer, Baby led the way for protest music for his record “The Bigger Picture,” and recently spoke about the song’s importance to NPR.

“I’m definitely proud of it, ’cause it’s like it’s working in a good way for me and for my people,” he said. “And it let me know that my mind state is not all the way wrong — the way I feel and the way I’m thinking.”
