The Regency Era dramedy won fans over following its debut last month and it’s been confirmed the Shondaland series created by Chris Van Dusen will indeed be back, with production set for the spring. Regé-Jean Page is going from the Regency-era romance of Shonda Rhimes’s wildly popular Bridgerton on Netflix to the sword-wielding, role-playing action of Paramount’s forthcoming movie adaptation of Dungeons & Dragons. The actor has been cast in a leading role in the movie based on the iconic game franchise from Wizards of the Coast. After Page channeled his Simon Basset character in the opening monologue while trying to convince viewers that “he’s just a normal guy” and nothing like the Duke, the British-Zimbabwean actor reprised the Bridgerton character in a skit later in the show.
