Cassandra Coleman had a full circle moment after getting the opportunity to take part in a very special duet on Sunday's "American Idol".

The 24-year-old from Columbia, Tennessee was joined on stage by Ryan Tedder while performing “Apologize” by Timbaland and his band, OneRepublic.

Back in episode two of this season's competition, judge Lionel Richie asked Coleman to step outside of her comfort zone by playing piano during her Los Angeles audition.

  Toronto Native Heather Russell Receives Tough Criticism From Katy Perry On ‘American Idol’ After Singing ‘Harleys In Hawaii’ Toronto native Heather Russell took on quite the challenge during Sunday’s “American Idol” — she sang a Katy Perry song in front of Katy Perry. Russell, now 20, who was signed by Simon Cowell when she was 10, belted out a unique version of Perry’s 2020 track “Harleys In Hawaii”. However, despite all the judges insisting the singer had a fantastic voice, they gave her some constructive criticism in that she didn't know how to use it yet. “You’re one of the better singers that I’ve heard this year,” Bryan said, telling her to "be careful about all the tricks.

The first song that came to her mind was the 2007 hit, "Apologize".

Coleman also delivered a solid rendition of “Find Me”, by Sigma ft. Birdy for her Top 24 solo performance earlier on in the show.
