Yaphet Kotto, Bond Villain and Alien Actor, Dies at 81 Yaphet Kotto's extensive filmography includes turns as the villain in Live and Let Die and as Lieutenant Al Giardello in Homicide: Life on the Street . Kotto played the latter role for the entirety of the series' seven-season run, beginning in 1993, as well as in 2000's Homicide: The Movie. While his final onscreen role was in the 2008 film Witless Protection, Kotto later lent his voice talents to reprise his Alien character, technician Dennis Parker, in the 2014 video game Alien: Isolation.

Grimes’ latest ink is truly a work of art. The 33-year-old art-pop singer showed off the intricate geometric tattoo that fully covers her back in delicate white ink on Instagram Sunday (April 11).

“Full back in white ink by @tweakt w sum help from the alien computer brain of @nusi_quero,” she captioned the photo. “Don’t have a good pic cuz it hurts too much and I need to sleep haha, and it’ll be red for a few wks , but gna be beautiful alien scars.”

Nusi Quero, who created the design digitally before Los Angeles-based artist Tweakt made it come to life, elaborated on the hours-long process behind Grimes’ ink. “Last night was an amazing experience, @tweakt and I collaborated on a tattoo for @grimes entire back, a courageous and beautiful decision and Talisman she will carry with her from here forward, an armor, a spectral field that will affect and protect her in ways unknown but no doubt with a benevolence of some kind,” Quero wrote on his IG Story with a behind-the-scenes shot of the procedure.

Death of Yaphet Kotto: Sigourney Weaver's tribute to the star of Alien

Death of Yaphet Kotto: Sigourney Weaver's tribute to the star of Alien While Yaphet Kotto, interpreter of engineer Parker in the first part of the "Alien" saga, died on Monday at the age of 81, her ex-Nostromo teammate Sigourney Weaver sent her a nice farewell message.

He continued, “@tweakt Drew the base shapes on an iPad and then emailed me the image file. I turned it into 3D geometry, selected vertices on the shape, and guided and grew the embellishments along and around the shapes that he laid down first with a series of procedural operators (math rules) in a way that I felt spoke to his shapes, and @grimes.”

Grimes’ peers from her “Cry” collaborator Ashnikko, “We Appreciate Power” collaborator HANA, Princess Nokia and more praised her latest ink in the comments section, with HANA writing, “so inspiring to watch this happen!”
