  Comedy Dynamics To Distribute Hundreds Of Titles From Dry Bar Comedy’s Clean Comedy Library EXCLUSIVE: Comedy Dynamics has struck a deal with Dry Bar Comedy to distribute hundreds of clean, comedic titles from its library, our sources tell us. The deal includes video and audio rights to each of Dry Bar Comedy’s stand-up specials. Titles will be distributed through Comedy Dynamics’ hybrid distribution network, which consists of Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Spectrum, Tubi, Peacock, Samsung, Pluto TV, DirecTV, Youtube, Spotify, Sirius XM, Amazon Music, Apple Music and more—with the company looking to release its first round of acquired titles this winter.

“ Together Together has been my heart for a while now and as a long-time admirer of Bleecker ’s work and philosophy, it’s exciting to know I get to pin it to the right sleeve.” Beckwith’s feature directorial debut Stockholm, Pennsylvania made its world premiere at Sundance 2015. “ Together Together ” seems like a film you could easily put in the rom-com genre, based on its premise alone. But as seen in the trailer, this film is much different than you would initially think. Bleecker Street has acquired U.S. rights to Maria Schrader’s “I’m Your Man,” which won the Berlinale’s Silver Bear for leading performance for Maren Eggert. The film, which also stars Dan Stevens, will be released in theaters later this year with a VOD release to follow. This week, Bleecker Street released the comedy Together, Together, starring Ed Helms and comic Patti Harrison. The pic follows a young loner Anna (Harrison) who is hired as a surrogate for Matt (Helms), a single man in his 40s. The two strangers come to realize this unexpected relationship will quickly challenge their perceptions of connection, boundaries and the particulars of love.

  Randall Park to Make Directorial Debut on Dramedy 'Shortcomings' for Roadside Attractions Randall Park, the "Fresh Off the Boat," "WandaVision" and "Always Be My Maybe" star, will make his directorial debut for Roadside Attractions on a comedic drama called "Shortcomings." "Shortcomings" is based on the 2007 graphic novel by Adrian Tomine, the celebrated cartoonist and illustrator for The New Yorker and of the graphic memoir "The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Cartoonist." Tomine will also adapt the screenplay and executive produce the film adaptation, which Park said will be updated to modern day.

Together Together had its world premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Check out the trailer below. Also in limited theaters today is The Space Between , the coming-of-age story starring Julia Goldani Telles, William Fichtner, Jackson White, Paris Jackson, Andy Daley, and Golden Marilyn Agrelo directed the film, which was inspired by Michael Davis’ debut novel and New York Times best-seller, Street Gang: The Complete History of Sesame Street . The Bleecker Street drama starring Colin Firth and Stanely Tucci is garnering tons of awards season buzz and has added some fuel to the specialty fire that has been struggling to stay afloat for almost a year. With day and date release becoming more popular and release strategies always changing, Supernova put coins in its piggy Supernova opened in 330 theaters this weekend to an estimated ,670 with an average of 9. The film is garnering acclaim and with Firth and Tucci as its leads , the drama checks the appropriate boxes when it comes to an awards season film. More from Deadline.

Together, Together racked up $522,440 in its opening weekend. At 665 runs in 136 markets, the Nikole Beckwith-helmed film performed decently in the LA and NY markets, selling out multiple evening shows.

The specialty box office saw two other new releases, though much smaller than Together.

Screen Media Films’ Street Gang: How We Got To Sesame Street and Gravitas’ Sweet River made small market premieres at 25 runs apiece. Both newcomers made meager gains, grossing $10K and $8K, respectively.

All Academy Award-nominated films made their usual marks this week. We’ll see next week whether Oscar hardware will affect the gross trajectory of these holdovers.

Nomadland made $89K over the weekend and should eventually see $3M at the domestic box office. Nomadland is the lowest-grossing Oscar Best Picture winner at the box office with just over $2.5 million currently, besting 2009 Best Picture winner The Hurt Locker which grossed $17M stateside.
