Alicia Keys Says She 'Became a Better Mother' After Starting a Meditation Practice
For Alicia Keys, her "consistent spiritual practice began about six years ago" following the birth of her youngest son Genesis Ali, whom she shares with husband Swizz Beatz . "Like so many new moms I was exhausted, but the depletion was more than physiological; my spirit was shot," she recalled. "I needed to do something so I could continue to be a good mother to my children, partner to my husband, and friend to myself.
Alicia Keys invites his fans to join her in a new meditation program with the Spiritual Guru Deepak Chopra. The singer of Girl on Fire will join the Expert of Alternative Medicine on Activateng The Divine Feminine: The Path to Wholeness, a 21-day audio course aimed at helping listeners to "find harmony with female and masculine energies in Each of us, and return to peace in the mind, body and mind ".
The singer will start each 20-minute session with a narrative, before Deepak Chopra begins participants in a meditative state.
describing the "divine female" as an "extremely powerful" force in each person, Alicia Keys said, "It helps you grow, it helps you create, that cultivates you. There is a major imbalance in our world, and we can all feel it. To counter it, we must open the door to the Divine Female in us and its ability to repair and create. It has been an adventure of self-exploration with my brother Deepak Chopra. He believes in the well-being of everyone, like me, and knows that we could all use additional healing vibrations right now.
"The Divine Female is often neglected or silenced by structures that promote an imbalance of male energy, added Deepak Chopra. Love, compassion and receptivity exist at the source of the divine female and when we allow these energies to emerge in our lives, we create a space to feed and heal personally and collectively.
Alicia Keys is the latest celebrity to partner in Deepak Chopra as part of its 21-day Meditation Experience brand. He has already worked with Oprah Winfrey and the Latin Superstar J Balvin.
