Rachel Mac Belts Out Powerful Cover Of Christina Perri’s ‘Human’ On ‘The Voice’

Rachel Mac Belts Out Powerful Cover Of Christina Perri’s ‘Human’ On ‘The Voice’ Team Nick’s Rachel Mac showed off her killer vocals once again as she took the stage on Monday’s “The Voice”. The 16-year-old performed “Human” by Christina Perri, donning an all-white ensemble as spotlights shone behind her. “That was such a revelatory performance,” John Legend gushed, according to Michigan Live. “I feel like we’ve seen a lot of your finesse and a lot of your sweet bravado. You showed some of that, but we also saw so much power and your ability to be a rock star as well. So, you gave us the full range of emotion today and it was really beautiful and really heartfelt.

British blues guitarist Peter Green formed Fleetwood Mac in 1967, naming the group after bassist John McVie and drummer Mick Fleetwood . Over the next eight years, the band evolved in unpredictable ways, losing and gaining key members from album to album—including Christine McVie on keyboards and vocals—and changing their sound from tough blues to sweet pop-rock. When Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined in 1975, Fleetwood Mac became one of the biggest bands in the world, with a string of classic albums—especially the hugely successful Rumours—that defined the sound of the era.

Thanks to its emotional complexities, Fleetwood Mac ’s music only grows richer with familiarity. A central pillar of pop songcraft in the ’70s and ’80s, they honed a singular sound with their elegant hooks, folksy intimacy and L.A. harmonies soaring like lonely eagles above the Pacific. The brutally honest “Go Your Own Way” chronicles the dissolution of Lindsey Buckingham’s relationship with Stevie Nicks, while the darkly prismatic “Rhiannon” refracts the latter’s haunted psyche. The Mac ’s songs are far more than catchy; they are windows into their makers’ souls.

How YouTube Serves 2B Monthly Music Users Without Human-Curated Playlists .
From June 2020 to June 2021, YouTube paid more than $4 billion to the music industry, the company announced this month — a much-increased sum from the world’s biggest video platform where product reviews, how-to videos, and vlogs share the spotlight with music. Rights holders have historically complained that YouTube hasn’t been paying enough for its offering, but the 2020 payout was a notable jump from 2019, when YouTube paid over $3 billion to music rights holders, thanks in part to its powerful algorithms that surfaces the music each user desires.
