Jojo Siwa is set hit the road for a few months starting in January for her D.R.E.A.M tour, and is making it clear that she’s planning to sing what she wants during her show, despite Nickelodeon — the network behind her new musical film, The J Team —  allegedly attempting to block her from singing original songs from her movie.

TMZ caught up with the entertainer on Wednesday (Sept. 15) and asked her if she and Nickelodeon have been able to reach an agreement on her singing songs from The J Team on stage. “There has been a [response], but it’s not on me to share,” Siwa said. “I love my brand, but I think it’s forgotten that I’m a human sometimes and that hurts.”

NBA season preview: The top 50 storylines to watch in 2021-22 (Part 1)

NBA season preview: The top 50 storylines to watch in 2021-22 (Part 1) The regular season tips off in 50 days. From LeBron's run up the record books to the NBA's top 75 all-time players, here are all of the top storylines to watch this upcoming season. If it feels like a historically short offseason, that’s because it is. While not quite as short as last year’s 72-day break in the action, this year’s 91-day span between the end of the NBA Finals and the start of the season on October 19 is the second-shortest in league history.

Siwa’s relationship with Nickelodeon isn’t beyond repair, though. The performer said she thinks she can “of course” work things out with the children’s entertainment company, but that she’s going to do what she wants when she’s performing.  “I work for Nickelodeon. It just makes me frustrated that someone is telling me what I can and can’t sing, and these people have been at Nickelodeon for less time than I have. … When I’m on stage, I’m going to sing whatever I want. I’m going to sing what I want. Even if it’s a cappella, I’m going to sing it. I just wish they were as supportive of this movie as I was.”

After over a decade, Jane Campion returns to film

After over a decade, Jane Campion returns to film Jane Campion has not made a feature since 2009, but after a few years working in television she found herself drawn back to the romance of the two-hour story. Campion’s grand return to the form is the period piece “The Power of the Dog,” a sweeping but intimate family drama set in the isolated hills of 1925 Montana. The film, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons, premieres Thursday at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. The story is based on Thomas Savage’s 1967 novel about wealthy rancher brothers whose thin bond is strained further when one (Plemons) marries a widow (Dunst) with an adolescent son (Kodi Smit-McPhee).

Siwa’s new comments on the matter come after tweets she made on Tuesday (Sept. 14) that claimed Nickelodeon was blocking her from performing the music from The J Team on her upcoming tour. “I go out on tour in January. My movie musical was just released (with 6 new original songs)… Nickelodeon told me today that I’m not allowed to perform/add any of the songs from the film into my show,” she wrote. “These are MY songs, MY voice, MY writing. Does this seem fair???”

“There is no reason that this music should not be included,” Siwa continued, further airing her frustrations with the ViacomCBS-owned company. “Working for a company as a real human being treated as only a brand is fun until it’s not.
