2021 Creative Arts Emmys Winners List, Day 2 (Updating Live)

2021 Creative Arts Emmys Winners List, Day 2 (Updating Live) The second of three Creative Arts Emmy Awards shows is underway. If you think three is a lot of shows to celebrate the television industry's (mostly) below-the-line workers, 2020 had FIVE Creative Arts Emmys shows. TheWrap is updating this post with Sunday's winners in real time. Find Saturday's winners here. The second Sunday show, the final one of the two-day 2021 Creative Arts Emmys, begins at 5 p.m. PT. That's the presentation that has most of the mainstream categories that don't fit in next week's Primetime Emmys. None of this weekend's three Creative Arts shows are being televised. Next Saturday, a highlights show of sorts will air on FXX starting at 8 p.m.

Refresh for updates … Television’s Big Night is here. The 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards are being handed out tonight in Los Angeles, and Deadline will be updating the winners list live as they are announced starting at 5 p.m. PT.

After the three-ceremony Creative Arts Emmys last weekend, and including the juried winners announced in August, Netflix has a huge lead over all other networks and platforms with 34 trophies. Disney+ is next with 12, followed by the combined HBO/HBO Max with 10.

Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit leads all programs with nine wins, followed by Disney+’s The Mandalorian and NBC’s Saturday Night Live with seven apiece.

How to Watch the 2021 Emmys Red Carpet Live

How to Watch the 2021 Emmys Red Carpet Live Another year, same pandemic — but the Emmys are going to keep on doing their thing even so. Last year's remote Emmys was easily the best major awards show of the 2020-21 awards seasons, but this year will be in person at the Microsoft Theatre in Downtown LA — but without the usual packed house. And the in-person ceremony means the red carpet is back after the Emmys skipped that particular detail in 2020. And you'll have two options for checking out all the glam celebs, with a potential third. The Emmys ceremony itself will be broadcast on CBS, but the network doesn't have a red carpet pre-show scheduled thanks to the late afternoon NFL game it'll be airing on Sunday.

The Mandalorian and Netflix’s The Crown and Disney+’s came into the Emmys with a leading 24 noms apiece. Among platforms, as usual the fight wa s between HBO and Netflix, with HBO/HBO Max edging the streaming giant in total noms 130-129. Disney+ had 71 noms, following by NBC with 46.

Emmys will be presented in 27 categories tonight. Here are the evening’s winners thus far, followed by the nominees in the remaining categories:

Emmy Nominees: The Complete List

Emmy Nominees: The Complete List Tonight, we'll finally find out just how many 2021 Emmy Awards 2020 sensation "Ted Lasso" will take home. Oh, and we'll probably have some non-"Ted Lasso" winners as well. For one, TV's top drama will come down to "The Boys," Bridgerton," "The Crown," The Handmaid's Tale," "Lovecraft Country," "The Mandalorian," "Pose" and "This Is Us." On the sitcom side, "Ted Lasso" is considered the prohibitive favorite among fellow Outstanding Comedy Series nominees "Black-ish," "Cobra Kai," "Hacks," "Emily in Paris," "The Flight Attendant," "The Kominsky Method" and "Pen15.

Emmys 2021: Facts & Feats

Emmys 2021: Facts & Feats history was made during the three-hour show. Here are 10 of the most notable Emmy facts and feats. RuPaul became the person of color with the most career Emmys. He won his 11th Emmy for outstanding competition program as an executive producer of RuPaul’s Drag Race (VH1). RuPaul pulled ahead of Donald A. Morgan, a cinematographer and lighting director, who has won 10 Emmys.

Emmys Analysis: Netflix, Apple Prove It Is A Streamers World And We Are Just Living In It

Emmys Analysis: Netflix, Apple Prove It Is A Streamers World And We Are Just Living In It With a huge challenge in trying to stage a live awards show while still in the shadow of Covid, the Emmys pulled off a mostly entertaining three hours and fifteen minutes, even if (save for a couple of surprise wins) it was all a pretty predictable outcome. Most pundits (including me) were forecasting wins of Ted Lasso for Comedy, The Crown for Drama, and The Queen’s Gambit for Limited Series despite stiff competition. The British invasion also seemed inevitable, taking us back to a time when Emmy seemed to devour everything from across the pond.

Emmys 2021: The Crown and Ted Lasso win big — and so does streaming

Emmys 2021: The Crown and Ted Lasso win big — and so does streaming In a year crowded with impressive offerings, Ted Lasso, and The Crown were among the Emmys' biggest winners on Sunday night, sweeping their categories despite strong competition. The wins provided recognition for both series, but more importantly the Emmy statues gave the platforms that carried Ted Lasso and The Crown a long-awaited artistic stamp of approval. The Crown, a Netflix production, won the best drama award, and Ted Lasso, an Apple TV+ production, won for best comedy series, marking the first time either streaming service has won an Emmy for top series. Emmys Audience Grows 16% From Last Year to 7.4 Million Viewers

Emmys Audience Grows 16% From Last Year to 7.4 Million Viewers Sunday's 73rd Emmy Awards drew 7.4 million total viewers on CBS, besting last year's all-time low total for the annual TV awards show, according to preliminary Nielsen data. Hosted by Cedric The Entertainer, the 2021 show, which aired live from 8-11:15 p.m. ET, was up 16% in total viewers compared to last year. The 7.4 million total eyeballs tally means this year's Emmys had the largest audience since the Sept. 17, 2018 show, which aired on NBC. The key demo rating for last night's show is not yet available. The 2020 event, which was emceed by Jimmy Kimmel and primarily a virtual affair due to the COVID-19 pandemic, drew a 1.2 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic and 6.
