Tri-Five Chevys are descending on California. The first-ever Western Invasion presented by Danchuk will be held October October 1516, 2021, at Famoso Dragstrip in Bakersfield.
What's your favorite Tri-Five Chevy? Is it a dragstrip-pounding, a cool custom 1956 Bel Air boulevard cruiser, a painstakingly restored 1957 Nomad wagon, or one of the countless other variations of these iconic Bow Tie classics? Whatever your answer, the loves them as much as you do and has been welcoming them all at the annual in Bowling Green, Kentucky, since 2015. Now they're taking the action west. The Western Invasion is open to all 19551957 Chevy cars and trucks, including Corvettes. More than 2,000 vehicles are expected at Bakersfield's for California's largest gathering of Tri-Five Chevys.

The American Tri-Five Association's Western Invasion presented by Danchuk starts on Thursday at the Doubletree Hotel in Bakersfield. It continues on Friday and Saturday at the historic and nostalgic Famoso Raceway, where 1/4-mile competition drag racing, exhibition runs, wheels-up Gasser racing, and fun runs will take place all day long. Other activities include the Tri-Five Chevys car show, commercial vendors, and a swap meet.
Participants can register at the Doubletree from noon to 7 p.m. on Thursday or at Famoso on Friday and Saturday starting at 6 a.m. When you're at the Western Invasion, make a point to stop at the American Tri-Five Association booth on Friday or Saturday. That's the place to buy some cool merchandise, renew your membership, or become a first-time member. Every new and renewing member will be entered in the drawing to win a Chevy small-block engine provided by Ed Rinke Performance Parts and Woody's Hot Rodz. The winner of the 350/290 base crate engine will be announced at the event on Saturday evening.
