  Police: Woman held captive slips note to veterinary employee DELAND, Fla. - Florida authorities say a woman who was beaten and held captive for two days at gunpoint by her boyfriend escaped when she convinced him bring their dog to an animal hospital - and then slipped a note to a staff member. The Daytona Beach News-Journal quotes the Volusia County Sheriff's Office as saying 39-year-old Jeremy Floyd was arrested at DeLand Animal Hospital. He is being held without bond on domestic violence and other charges.

Delightful Ohio-native Lily Wilker pleased the "America's Got Talent" judges and audience with her animal impressions on Tuesday's episode of the popular talent competition show.

Wilker -- who was somehow shy and outgoing at the same time -- chuckled and covered her face prior to performing, prompting judge Mel B to ask, "Have you got the giggles?"

The 11-year-old proceeded to perform near-perfect impressions of a dolphin, turkey, horse, dog, and more while a piano-rendition of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" played between impressions.

Wilker first began to perform impressions by mimicking animals on her family farm in New Bremen.

Toronto police have launched an animal cruelty investigating after the carcasses of 14 mutilated geese were found in an industrial area in the north end of Toronto Monday morning. According to police, the birds were found at 6:20 a.m. Monday at Clayson Rd. just north of Bartor Rd. and Highway 400. Some birds had torn wings and legs. Some had their necks snapped, some were decapitated. The Toronto Wildlife Centre said a fifteenth goose survived the attack. The animal suffered two broken ribs and a puncture wound. The centre said they are now providing the bird care and medical treatment.
