Exclusive: Les Moonves Was Obsessed With Ruining Janet Jackson’s Career, Sources Say One thing that allies and critics of Les Moonves, the CEO and chairman of CBS, agree on is that he tends to remember who his enemies are, and exact revenge on them on his terms. From actors to entertainment lawyers, people who ended up on the wrong side of Moonves would often become his target for years after they upset him. Although Moonves is embattled and likely to be ousted from CBS amid sexual harassment allegations (reportedly with a significant severance payment) following an investigation by The New Yorker, many women and men whom I contacted about Moonves’ conduct were reluctant to speak to me, even when I told them they could speak off the record.

Report: CBS Reaches Exit Deal With Chief Les Moonves As 6 More Women Accuse Him Of Assault Six additional women have raised assault and harassment claims against CBS Corp Chief Executive Leslie Moonves in a media report published Sunday. The new disclosures come as CBS has reached an estimated $100 million settlement with Moonves, both CNN and Reuters are reporting. CBS will donate a portion of that settlement to an unnamed charity and the company reserves the right to claw back all of the remaining payment pending the results of an investigation into allegations of sexual assault and harassment, sources familiar with these discussions said.

Les Moonves , the CEO of CBS , will resign effective immediately amid a flurry of sexual misconduct allegations . The resignation comes on the same day that Ronan Farrow published an exposé on Moonves in the New Yorker, which described misconduct allegations from six additional women.

CBS will investigate allegations of sexual misconduct that are to be raised against CEO Leslie Moonves in a report in the New Yorker. Kevin Spacey was fired from Netflix’s “House of Cards” amid allegations he assaulted actor Anthony Rapp when Rapp was 14, among other men.

Six women are making new sexual misconduct allegations against CBS chief Leslie Moonves, whose reign as one of the most powerful executives in Hollywood appears nearing an end.

The New Yorker on Sunday reported the women's accusations, which include Moonves forcing them to perform oral sex and retaliating when advances were turned away. Moonves acknowledged relations with three of the women but said they were consensual, and that he had never used his position to hurt women's careers.

CBS said Sunday that it takes the allegations very seriously, and that its board of directors is investigating.

Six other women accused Moonves of misconduct in another New Yorker article published last month. Even before the new allegations came to light on Sunday, CBS' board was reportedly discussing terms of Moonves' exit.
