A couple in England wasted no time making their love official.

Sarah Edwards (nee Elliott), who lives in Kent but is originally from New Zealand, and Paul Edwards matched on Bumble, a dating app, just over a week before spontaneously tying the knot in Las Vegas.

“There was a moment between us where we both thought, 'We totally could do this. How amazing would it be if we got married on our first date?’” Sarah told SWNS. "By Monday morning — three days after we'd first started talking — we'd agreed to get married.”

They said they hit it off instantly while chatting on Bumble before exchanging numbers and talking for hours on the phone.

They got hitched just TWELVE DAYS after matching on dating app Bumble on December 13, and Paul says they 're already "comfortable" using the bathroom at the same time. The couple only spoke on the phone for the first time on December 22 - and the very next day they decided to get married .

The pair met for the first time at Gatwick Airport on Dec. 24 and boarded a plane together — donning their wedding clothes — to get married in Las Vegas on the same day.

“We get on so well and just thought, 'Why not have that commitment to actually making a marriage work from the very start?’” Sarah said.

The couple said they realize the idea is “crazy” but are adamant they can make it work. They booked a wedding space at the Bellagio Hotel and went for it.

"We're not looking at everything through rose-tinted glasses. We know it will be challenging, but we're willing to work together,” Sarah said. "I'm usually such a logical person, but all the rules have been thrown out.

"We've both tried to do things the traditional way before and it didn't work out for either of us.”

“It certainly lived up to expectations,” Sarah said.

Everything hasn’t been a fairy tale for the couple up to this point, however.

"I know it's totally crazy — hardly any of my friends are supporting me, in fact, a lot of them are disowning me,” Sarah said. "I haven't told my family yet. As they're on the other side of the world, we don't talk as often as we should.”

Paul, who has two teenage daughters, said he hasn’t told them about the impromptu marriage yet.

Sarah said they believe things will play out well for them.

“Our marriage will work because we're completely open and honest about everything in our lives. I have faith,” Sarah said. "If we have any problems, we'll talk them through.”
