Report: All 3 incidents will factor into Hunt's suspension The NFL is considering three separate Kareem Hunt off-field incidents as it works toward a final decision on disciplining the former Kansas City Chiefs running back, sources told ESPN's Dan Graziano. Hunt's discipline is likely to be a multi-game suspension that stretches into next season, Graziano added. The second-year rusher was waived by the Chiefs after a video surfaced that showed him kicking a woman during a hotel fight in February. He went unclaimed on waivers. The other incidents involving Hunt were a nightclub beating in January and an altercation at an Ohio resort in June.

Former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt is expected to be suspended longer than the NFL's baseline ban of six games for a violation of the personal conduct policy, sources with direct knowledge of the situation told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Hunt is unlikely to learn the length of his ban until the offseason.

The running back is currently on waivers following his release from the team on Friday after video surfaced of him kicking and shoving a woman in a Cleveland hotel in February. He's been placed on the commissioner's exempt list for the time being, and a suspension can't begin until he's removed from the list.

Whether Hunt is claimed or not, he will still likely face a suspension following the league’s investigation. Why wasn’t Hunt suspended before this? Violations involving assault, battery, domestic violence or sexual assault will result in a baseline six - game suspension for first offenses.

The NFL is also investigating an incident from June in which Hunt reportedly punched a man at an Ohio resort, Rapoport adds. It is believed enough evidence was found in that matter to add to his punishment.

Hunt may choose to begin serving his suspension as soon as possible instead of waiting on the exempt list, according to Rapoport.

The league's investigation into the February events remains open, as previous attempts to contact the victims by email and phone have failed. Hunt also wasn't interviewed during the process, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
