Kansas star running back Pooka Williams was arrested Thursday on suspicion of domestic battery, according to jail records obtained by Jesse Newell of the Kansas City Star.

"We are aware of a reported incident involving Pooka Williams and we are taking these allegations very seriously," head coach Les Miles said in a statement, via Dylan Lysen of KUsports.com. "We have suspended Pooka from all team-related activities pending further investigation."

Williams rushed for 1,125 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging seven yards per carry in his debut campaign. Only Kansas State's Alex Barnes had more rushing yards among Big 12 players.

1 arrested after threats cause lockdown at Amazon warehouse.
A man has been arrested after allegedly leaving a threatening voicemail at an Amazon warehouse in southern Alberta. RCMP said at 7:45 a.m. they responded to a 911 call at the Amazon Fulfillment Centre in Balzac. A man had left a voicemail threatening the employees at the building, police said. RCMP surrounded the building and asked the employees to remain inside in a safe location. Police said after an investigation, a man was safely arrested and there's no further risk to the employees at the warehouse. The investigation is ongoing.
