Tiger closes Players Championship with 3-under 69

Tiger closes Players Championship with 3-under 69 Tiger Woods saved his best for last, closing the Players Championship with a 3-under 69 at TPC Sawgrass on Sunday. While battling through wet and cold conditions with nothing but pride to play for, Woods churned in a four-birdie, one-bogey performance to end on a high note. However, he still finished the tournament outside the top 30 at 6-under par. Overall, Tiger had a strong week off the tee, but uncharacteristically struggled with his irons. He'll take next week's Valspar Championship off before returning for the WGC-Dell Match Play Championship in Texas, which begins March 27. Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. Playing in his first tournament since winning the Masters last month, Garcia, the 2008 Players champ, actually struggled for most of his round. Garcia's ace is just the eighth official hole - in - one in Players Championship history. After all the excitement died down, Garcia hit a wayward drive on No. 18.

Will Wilcox recorded the first ace on No . 17 , 'The Island Green' at TPC Sawgrass since Miguel Angel Jimenez in 2002.

The PGA Tour said there were 857 tee shots hit at No. 17 between Garcia's ace in 2017 and Moore's.

The eagle moved Moore to 4-under on the day after eight holes.

Julianne Moore Reveals She Was Fired From ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’.
Julianne Moore was fired and replaced by Melissa McCarthy in the movie “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” Moore appeared on Thursday’s “Watch What Happens Live” and said that she was axed from the flick because director Nicole Holofcener may not have liked the way she was portraying the character. The actress said of the film when questioned by a caller, "I didn't leave that movie, I was fired. Nicole fired me. I think she didn't like what I was doing. We'd just been kind of rehearsing and doing pre-production and stuff. "I think that her idea of what the character was was different than what my idea of the character was, so she fired me.
