Gourde leads Lightning over Senators

Gourde leads Lightning over Senators OTTAWA - Yanni Gourde had two goals and an assist as the Tampa Bay Lightning won its 60th game of the season with a 5-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators Monday night. Mikhail Sergachev, Brayden Point and Steven Stamkos also scored for the Lightning (60-15-4), while Nikita Kucherov had two assists. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 22 saves. The Lightning, who play their final four games on the road, are just the third team in NHL history to win 60 games in a season. Brady Tkachuk and Max Veronneau scored for the Senators (28-45-6). Craig Anderson, playing in his 400th career game with the Senators, stopped 21 shots.

Has Lucic actually turned a corner? 1. Has Milan deliberately become a “floater” since signing here? Personally, I don’t believe so. Lucic is in best shape of all oilers again this year , as per his test for body fat . It ’s how one “sees the game”. Lucic might try real hard but he doesn’t accomplish anything noteworthy.

Joseph knew he had something coming against a physical Oilers bunch, so to say he was Lucic sent a message without going berserk or getting reckless about it , and This is where Adam McQuaid has been missed since being traded to the Rangers at the start of training camp, and nobody has

Mystery injury kept Lucic from playing in final game of the year.

Ah yes, the ol’ “off ice after practice” injury. This explains why Milan Lucic was out of last Saturday’s game against the Calgary Flames, but it’s awfully strange that information is just appearing about Lucic’s ailment. Whatever the ailment, Rishaug says that Lucic will “be in a cast” for two more weeks, and that there’s no worry that he’ll miss any training camp.

Victor Hedman doubtful to play final week of regular season

Victor Hedman doubtful to play final week of regular season Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman is doubtful to play this week, reports Joe Smith of The Athletic (Twitter link).

Lucic ( lower body ) has been ruled out for Saturday's matchup with the Flames. A dizzying sequence of deals by lawyer-turned-GM Peter Chiarelli has transformed perennial loser Edmonton into a battle-hardened Stanley Cup contender that is two wins from the conference finals.

where a lower body injury could mean anything from "this player stubbed his toe in the locker Well that's not exactly true: We know he has some sort of injury , and Nash presumably knows that Nash might have suffered a concussion, possibly related to a hit by Milan Lucic on February 12.

It took a full nine days after this injury supposedly happened, and there hasn’t been a sound from the Oilers about it.

Whatever the injury may be, the club has taken special care not to release any information about it, which is odd considering he missed the final game of the year.

You’d figure that the team would be eager to report something like this if it keeps Lucic from the lineup.

More to come, I’m sure.

Hedman ruled out for Game 4 as Lightning look to avoid sweep.
The Tampa Bay Lightning will be without their best defenseman when they try to stave off elimination. Victor Hedman won't play in Game 4 against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night, Lightning head coach Jon Cooper said after the morning skate. Hedman also missed Game 3 of the first-round series Sunday with an undisclosed injury. The reigning Norris Trophy winner notched 54 points in 70 regular-season games during 2018-19. Cooper added Tuesday that Anton Stralman will also miss Game 4. Stralman has been out with what the club classified as a lower-body injury and last played in Tampa Bay's penultimate regular-season game on April 4.
