Kawhi Leonard put the Toronto Raptors on his back in the third quarter in Game 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers, scoring 14 points on 6-of-6 shooting to bring his team to within striking distance heading into the final frame.

But with Leonard on the bench to start the fourth quarter, the Sixers went on a 9-0 scoring run to put the game to bed. Raptors guard Kyle Lowry took sole responsibility for being unable to assist his teammate.

"We've got to help him," Lowry told ESPN's Tim Bontemps. "I was literally saying it during the game. We have to help him. He's doing everything he can possibly do offensively and defensively to f------ win games, and myself, I'm not helping him enough.

Game 3 in Orlando, time winding down, Toronto clinging to a three-point lead. Kawhi Leonard's jumper was well short, barely grazing the front of the rim. The rebound hits the floor and ricochets between Orlando's Terrence Ross and D.J. Augustin. They lunged for the ball, and they never had a chance. Orlando's chance at a tie never came, because Lowry knew exactly what was required in the ultimate moment.

The Toronto Raptors will do everything they can to convince Kawhi Leonard to convince him to sign a long-term deal, but Raptors star Kyle Lowry "I've dealt with this before with DeMar [DeRozan]—the speculation—and I will be happy for Kawhi Leonard when he makes his decision," Lowry told The

Pascal Siakam and Danny Green were the only other Raptors in double digits with the latter notching nine of his 13 points during the opening quarter. Toronto's second unit was largely ineffective, scoring a majority of their 15 points during garbage time.

Lowry put in a disappointing performance in front of friends and family. The Philly native scored seven points on 2-of-10 shooting and was a game-worst minus-28 on the floor. While he collected five boards and five assists, he lacked aggression and passed up shots he'd normally take.

"We're being unselfish and we have to be more selfish," Lowry said. "We have to help Kawhi and Pascal, and score more and be a little bit more assertive.
