The Rapids extend their losing streak to seven games.

The Colorado Rapids started strong against the Vancouver Whitecaps, earning a corner kick and getting a shot within the first minute of the game, but in the end the Whitecaps earned their first road win of the year and the Rapids are still winless.

In the 16th minute, Sebastian Anderson crossed a ball in to Kei Kamara who got a head on it, but it went over the crossbar. Vancouver ran down the other end and Axel Sjoberg stepped for the pass, but missed it. There was no coverage behind Axel, so this allowed Fredy Montero to get in behind and get a 1v1 with Tim Howard. Montero easily kicked it past Howard on the ground to put his team up 1-0.

Henry scores, Vancouver Whitecaps settle for 1-1 draw with Philadelphia Union Vancouver Whitecaps coach Marc Dos Santos felt like his team deserved more on Saturday. The club captured a single point by battling the Philadelphia Union to a 1-1 draw, but Dos Santos was frustrated after the game. "Today we lost two points," he said. "We did enough to win the game, we created enough opportunities. But then if you don't finish your chances, you're always playing at the edge." Frustration has been building for the Whitecaps (1-5-3) through the beginning of the Major League Soccer season. The club has won a single game and lingers near the bottom of the table. Atlanta United continue win streak with 1-0 win over Vancouver Whitecaps.
Vancouver Whitecaps coach Marc Dos Santos says his team's downfall on Wednesday night was a single "clumsy" play. The 'Caps (3-6-3) dropped a 1-0 decision to Atlanta United (6-3-2), thanks to a penalty kick in the 29th minute. "That's frustrating to lose like that. That's frustrating," Dos Santos said after the game. "I don't have a clue how I'm going to deal with that." Penalty kicks have plagued the Whitecaps all season. Eleven games into the year, they've conceded seven. Last year they gave up a league-leading nine. The coach, who's in his first year as bench boss with a Major League Soccer club, said he's never experienced a team that gives up so many similar opportunities.
