Joel Embiid's lethargic performance in Sunday's Game 4 loss to the Toronto Raptors can be attributed to the Philadelphia 76ers All-Star once again being under the weather.

Following the Sixers' 101-96 defeat at Wells Fargo Center, Embiid admitted he was vomiting, got little sleep, and required an IV at 6 a.m. ET, according to NBC Sports Philadelphia's Serena Winters.

The 25-year-old center added his current illness is unrelated to the stomach flu that plagued him during Game 2.

76ers head coach Brett Brown confirmed during his postgame press conference that Embiid was sick and could have missed Game 4.

He was doing everything from making threes and dunks to blocking shots. Absolutely dominant.

Embiid ultimately logged 35 minutes, finishing with 11 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a pair of blocks. He didn't hit his first shot until there was 8:01 remaining in the first half and missed five of his seven field goals for the game, including three free throws in the fourth quarter.

The best-of-seven series heads back to Toronto on Tuesday locked at two games apiece.
