Tiger Woods biography in development to become TV miniseries

Tiger Woods biography in development to become TV miniseries The story of Tiger Woods is coming to television, as author Jeff Benedict has agreed to turn his book, "Tiger Woods," into a scripted miniseries, Wheelhouse Entertainment announced Tuesday. The book was published last year and became a New York Times bestseller. "As a rabid sports fan, I had seen Jeff's byline and read much of his work, always impressed by his insights and access into some pretty rarefied worlds," Wheelhouse Entertainment CEO Brent Montgomery said. "But when I picked up 'Tiger Woods,' I saw what a true force Jeff really is – and a compelling way to bring the Tiger Woods story to life as one of the most moving in sports history.

Hank Haney has responded to Tiger Woods after the 15-time major winner said his former swing coach deserves to be suspended for his disparaging comments about Koreans on the LPGA Tour.

"Amazing how Tiger Woods now has become the moral authority on issues pertaining to women," Haney tweeted on Tuesday afternoon. "I spent six great years coaching Tiger, and not one time did he ever hear me utter one sexist or racist word. Now, in addition to being a 15-time major champion, I guess he thinks he's also a mind reader."

Haney found himself in hot water after saying on his radio show that he couldn't name six players on the LPGA Tour. Then he added: "Maybe I could. Well, I'd go with Lee. If I didn't have to name a first name, I'd get a bunch of them right."

Tiger spotted at Pebble Beach prepping for U.S. Open Tiger Woods' U.S. Open preparation is already underway. The 43-year-old was spotted playing a practice round at Pebble Beach Golf Links on Thursday with less than three weeks to go before the season's third major. Multiple people on the grounds posted videos of Tiger playing in apparently miserable weather conditions. Jeongeun Lee6 then won the U.S. Women's Open on Sunday, and Haney tried to justify his comments on twitter before congratulating Lee6.

Haney and Woods worked together from 2004 to 2010 before the former resigned from his position.

Woods' extra-marital affairs led to a high-profile scandal in 2009, and his marriage to Elin Nordegren ended in 2010 as a result.
