Coming off her epic head-kick knockout of Jessica Eye at UFC 238, Valentina Shevchenko will defend her flyweight championship against Liz Carmouche on Aug. 10 at UFC Fight Night in Uruguay, sources told ESPN's Brett Okamoto. The two fighters battled in September 2010 at a regional show in Oklahoma, during which Carmouche handed Shevchenko her first professional MMA defeat. Carmouche is one of only two fighters to emerge victorious from a fight with the flyweight queen; the other being Amanda Nunes, who defeated Shevchenko twice. Shevchenko (17-3) captured the flyweight belt in December when she defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk via unanimous decision.
