Khabib's manager: Mayweather is 'begging' for boxing match

Khabib's manager: Mayweather is 'begging' for boxing match While Floyd Mayweather Jr. continues to insist publicly that he's retired, his representatives have apparently been trying to set up a match against Khabib Nurmagomedov. Nurmagomedov's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, told TMZ Sports that Mayweather has been "begging" to fight his client. "Floyd Mayweather to this day keep begging to fight Khabib. Begging," Abdelaziz said. "Floyd run out of money. I'm telling you, people reaching out to me every week about Floyd to fight Khabib. But at the end of the day, we're not interested ... for now." In the meantime, Nurmagomedov is preparing to defend his UFC lightweight title against Dustin Poirier on Sept. 7.

Mayweather announced in his post-fight interview that he had fought his final boxing match and would officially retire from the sport. " Circus begins: Here's how Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather kicked off 'Money Fight' tour".

Floyd Mayweather Jr. continues to brush off talk of another fight against Conor McGregor.

The 50-0 boxer and his crew had a good laugh this week when asked by TMZ Sports about McGregor's manager expressing interest in a rematch.

"These kids are some circus clowns," he said. "You know, they can't f--k with Money May ... They gonna keep coming my way. At the end of the day, I keep laughing, I keep living, I keep going to the bank."

Asked how much money it would take to make the fight happen, Mayweather made it clear he's in a good position financially.

Mayweather last saw action on Dec. 31 when he defeated Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa by TKO in the first round of an exhibition bout.
