The Toronto Raptors have signed shooting guard Matt Morgan, the team announced on Thursday.

In accordance with team policy, financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Morgan, who played four seasons at Cornell University, averaged 20.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists across his 114-game collegiate career. He was named to the first-team All-Ivy League as both a junior and senior.

A dependable shooter with Cornell, the six-foot-two Morgan shot 47 per cent from the field overall and 37 per cent from long-range in university but struggled to produce the same results as a member of the Raptors’ 2019 Summer League team in Las Vegas.

In four Summer League appearances, he averaged 4.3 points, two rebounds and one assist in 13.8 minutes of action, shooting just 18 per cent from the field overall.

With the signing, the Raptors’ roster sits at 20 players – the maximum allowed – after the team waived forward Sagaba Konate on Wednesday.
