Report: Shevchenko-Chookagian title fight booked for Feb. 8 Valentina Shevchenko will defend her UFC flyweight championship against Katlyn Chookagian on a Feb. 8 pay-per-view card, sources told ESPN's Ariel Helwani. Whether the event is labeled UFC 246 or UFC 247 depends on whether Conor McGregor returns for a targeted Jan. 18 fight. If he does, his card will be UFC 246 and Shevchenko's will be UFC 247. A site for the Feb. 8 event hasn't been finalized, but it's expected to take place in Houston. Shevchenko is coming off a unanimous decision over Liz Carmouche in August, which marked her second defense of the flyweight title. "Bullet" owns a career record of 18-3, but all three of her losses came as a bantamweight.

A fight against Jorge Masvidal is not Conor McGregor's top priority, but the Irishman does hope it happens in the future, according to UFC president Dana White.

"Conor told me that he definitely wants a fight with Masvidal, so we'll see what happens," White told the "Chad Dukes vs. The World" show Thursday.

McGregor's return to the UFC - a bout against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 on Jan. 18 - was confirmed last week.

Before he fights Masvidal, though, McGregor wants a rematch against lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov "as quick as possible" if he beats Cerrone, White said. McGregor hasn't fought since an October 2018 loss to the Russian.

Dillashaw wants Mayweather: 'He ain't gonna be able to wear me out' TJ Dillashaw wants to become the next MMA star who crosses over into the world of boxing. The former UFC bantamweight champion, who's currently serving a two-year USADA suspension until January 2021 after testing positive for EPO, said he hopes to step into the ring against former world champion Floyd Mayweather. As for the McGregor fight , Dana White said that fight won’t happen, either. But, if Dan Lambert had his way, Jorge Masvidal would be getting a big-money fight next. UFC's Jorge Masvidal Calls Out Conor McGregor : 'I Want to Break His Face' Following his stunning knockout of Ben Askren at UFC

With UFC president Dana White saying no to the fight because Masvidal is too big, Sonnen says that could be a tactic to entice McGregor into taking the bout. Chael explains why this fight could be huge, saying that fights featuring a bad guy vs. a bad guy don't happen often.

Nurmagomedov is scheduled to defend his belt against Tony Ferguson in April.

McGregor in October laid out his plans for 2020, which included fighting the winner of Masvidal versus Nate Diaz and the winner of Nurmagomedov versus Ferguson. At the time, McGregor said he wanted the Masvidal-Diaz winner before the Nurmagomedov-Ferguson winner, but that has seemingly now changed.

Masvidal beat Diaz, who holds a 2016 win over McGregor, for the BMF title at UFC 244 last month. "Gamebred" has since said he'd be interested in a bout against "The Notorious," but wasn't sure McGregor would want it.

Usman: 'It wouldn't even be fair if I fought' McGregor .
UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman doesn't think a fight with Conor McGregor would be remotely competitive. Usman brushed off the potential matchup when asked about the Irishman's recent cryptic tweet that hinted McGregor may want to make a title run at 170 pounds. "He must want to die. I mean, like, what? He must want to die," Usman told TMZ Sports. "I mean, this is not 145, 155 You saw what Khabib (Nurmagomedov) did to him. Oh my God. It wouldn't even be fair if I fought Conor."Much respect to Conor for what he's done for the sport and transcended it, but ... this ain't what you want. Just sit down little man, sit down.
