NFL medical officer: Wentz 'heroic' for reporting concussion vs. Seahawks
Carson Wentz's concussion may have cost the Philadelphia Eagles their wild-card matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, but the NFL's chief medical officer applauded the quarterback's courage after he reported the injury. Following a hit to the head from Jadeveon Clowney, Wentz stayed in for a few more plays before disclosing his symptoms to the team. He was taken to the locker room and failed the concussion protocol.

Gallagher suffered the injury during the second period of Tuesday's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes after falling and colliding headfirst with teammate Ben Chiarot's knee. Bemstrom hit Rask just over a minute into the game and - as Cassidy mentioned - wasn't penalized.

Dube scores in 7th round of shootout, Flames beat Wild 5-4 .
ST. PAUL, Minn. — Dillon Dube scored in the seventh-round of the shootout to give the Calgary Flames a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Wild on Sunday night. David Rittich stopped six of seven Wild shooters. Dube beat Alex Stalock with a quick move for his first career shootout goal on his first chance. Derek Ryan also scored in the shootout for the Flames, 4-0 in tiebreakers this season. Milan Lucic, Travis Hamonic, Michael Stone and Mark Giordano scored for Calgary, 4-5-1 in its last 10 games after winning seven straight during a stretch of nine consecutive outings with at least a point. Ryan Donato had a goal in the shootout, and Rittich finished with 30 saves.
