Warren scores 34 more, leads Pacers past Wizards, 111-100 LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — T.J. Warren kept up his red-hot restart with 34 more points, helping the Indiana Pacers pull away from the Washington Wizards for a 111-100 victory Monday. Two nights after scoring a career-best 53 points in the Pacers' first game at Disney, Warren had 16 points in the third quarter to spark a 22-2 run after Washington had fought back into the game. Warren shot 14 for 26 from the field and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Pacers, who improved to 2-0 since resuming the season. They played without star guard Victor Oladipo, who rested on the first night of back-to-back games. Indiana pulled within a game of Miami for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

TJ Warren goes off for 53 points in Pacers' NBA bubble-opening win over Sixers. Warren finished 20-of-29 from the field (9-of-12 from 3-point range) with four rebounds, three assists and just one turnover. His best bucket might have been his last, a contested 3-point dagger to put the Sixers away.

Warren ’ s previous career high in points had been 40, set in 2017. He rewrote the Indiana record books along the way on Saturday, plus TJ Warren : - 20 field goals ties a Pacers single-game record (and most ever in a bubble). T . J . Warren had the night of his life in the Pacers' first game in the bubble.

TJ Warren admitted he had "one of those special nights" as his career-best 53 points led the Indiana Pacers past the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 26-year-old, who had never previously scored more than 40 points in his six-year NBA career, had the hot hand in Orlando, pouring in nine three-pointers to tie a franchise record.

Only three other players had previously scored 50-plus points for the Pacers - Reggie Miller, Jermaine O'Neal and Billy Knight - as Warren made the most of an opportunity afforded to him by some Indiana injuries.

Indiana Pacers forward T . J . Warren drops 53 points on Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers big three didn’t exactly have off nights either, Joel Embiid ended with 41 points and “ TJ Warren ’ s evolution is wild. He shot only two 3s per game in college, his offense was mostly all mid-range & floaters.

"I play a lot of basketball. When I'm at home with my friends, when I'm playing pickup games, anywhere," Warren said, in quotes reported by ESPN.

"I'm just born to be a hooper so just me coming out here, just playing the way I play and playing my game, being aggressive.

"It doesn't matter the environment, you've just got to come with it every game. Every game I feel anxious and nervous at the same time but it's full of excitement. Tonight was one of those special nights."

While Warren's performance may have raised eyebrows for many outside the Pacers organisation, his team-mates felt such a display was in keeping with the man they see in practice.

"TJ Warren [has] been scoring his whole life. Since his AAU days to NC State," Victor Oladipo added.

"He's been a scorer since as long as I've known him. I've known him for a long time.

"Getting to know him, playing here, he was born to get buckets so it's no surprise to any of us that he was able to do what he did.

"It's great to have him on our team. It was amazing to watch and we're all happy for him. That was incredible. Things like that don't happen often."

NBA bubble takeaways: Warren and Lowry steal the show, Sixers stumble .
With five more games in the books, all 22 teams in the NBA's Disney World restart have now played at least once. Here are three takeaways from Saturday's action: Don't sleep on T.J. Warren I'm not saying you should've seen a 53-point explosion coming from a guy who had never scored more than 40 in a game or averaged 20-plus in a season, but Warren has been an impressive scorer for longer than most people have been willing to admit.
