White's father, Tyrone, reportedly didn't survive the crash, while his mother is currently in critical condition. Details of the crash have yet to be disclosed.

The tailback won't suit up for New England's Week 2 tilt against the Seattle Seahawks. White rushed five times for 22 yards in the Patriots' season opener, adding three receptions for 30 yards.

Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead will carry the load in White's absence.
