  Jets WR Crowder sits out practice, could miss 49ers game NEW YORK — The New York Jets' struggling offence could be without wide receiver Jamison Crowder against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Crowder sat out practice Thursday with a hamstring injury, leaving his availability for the game uncertain. Crowder was limited at practice Wednesday, but the Jets want to be cautious with their leading receiver. “We'll be evaluating him further and see where that takes us,” coach Adam Gase said. Crowder had his first 100-yard receiving game for the Jets in the season opener last Sunday at Buffalo when he caught seven passes for 115 yards and a touchdown.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones has been battling a hamstring injury early in the 2020 campaign, and his status for Week 3 is "up in the air," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Jones, who has played through various injuries throughout his career, aggravated his hamstring during last week's game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The star pass-catcher didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, and his official status for Sunday's matchup with the Chicago Bears has yet to be determined.

The 31-year-old was held to 24 yards on two receptions against Dallas while battling the injury after opening the season with a nine-catch, 157-yard performance against the Seattle Seahawks.

Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage will likely see a bump in targets if Jones is unable to suit up in Week 3.

Cleveland halfback Nick Chubb, who is fourth in the league in rushing entering the week, sustained a knee injury. Los Angeles Chargers back Austin Ekeler, who was eighth, was carted off with what seemed like a serious hamstring injury. Chubb was injured in the first quarter when his right leg was rolled up on by a pair of opposing linemen engaged with each other. He limped to the locker room. Coach Kevin Stefanski said Chubb will have an MRI. He did not know the extent of the injury.
