Kentucky coach John Calipari wants to play its matchup with Louisville this season at the KFC Yum! Center as scheduled. John Calipari , despite Louisville ’ s wishes, won’t play rivalry game at neutral site.

John Calipari met with the media to discuss Saturday' s matchup with the Louisville Cardinals.

Mack initially preferred to play the 2020-21 rivalry matchup at a neutral site, though Calipari was adamant about keeping this season's meeting at the KFC Yum! Center as per the contract agreed upon by both schools.

The Cardinals coach thought it wasn't fair to have a home game with limited fans only to go to a packed Rupp Arena next season.

Mack threw shade at Kentucky throughout the entire two-minute clip. He said the Wildcats "backed out" of the originally scheduled date for the rivalry game and instead booked a matchup with Notre Dame on the same day.

He also referenced how Kentucky's football program agreed to push its rivalry matchup with Louisville to 2021 upon the latter's request.
