  Baylor-Houston game postponed due to COVID-19 issues Saturday's game between Baylor and Houston has been postponed, the schools announced Friday. The contest is being delayed because the Bears don't meet the Big 12's COVID-19 game cancellation thresholds. "We're heartbroken from this postponement," said Bears head coach Dave Aranda. "While we've been eager to play football this fall, we have all made a commitment to only do so with the highest level of safety and care for our student-athletes. We are disappointed for our team, staff, and our fans, but look forward with great anticipation to renewing this rivalry in the future.

Brandon Clarke powered Gonzaga past Baylor to a fifth straight Sweet 16. Baylor had other plans, stopping Gonzaga from running away with their second-round matchup. But the Bulldogs won nonetheless, securing a fifth straight appearance in the Sweet 16 with an 83-71 victory over the Bears.

Gonzaga and Baylor will meet in an early-season, nonconference battle Dec. 5 in Indianapolis, the schools announced Thursday.

The teams are currently ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the NCAA's preseason Power 36.

Gonzaga is led by Corey Kispert, Drew Timme, and top-10 freshman recruit Jalen Suggs. Baylor features preseason All-American candidates Jared Butler and MaCio Teague.

The heavyweight matchup will be played without fans in attendance.
