Khabib: St-Pierre only fight that excites me after Gaethje Khabib Nurmagomedov has a specific opponent in mind after his title defense against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. The lightweight champion said Tuesday he would only be excited about facing Georges St-Pierre if he beats Gaethje on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. "I really become excited when I think about Georges St-Pierre," Nurmagomedov said during an appearance on ESPN's "First Take." "I don't know if he wants to fight with me or not, can he make weight - 155 (pounds) or not - but this fight makes me excited, honestly."And I think me versus Georges is going to be very, very big fight.

[MEDIA] Per the Ariel Helwani show this Tuesday Morning, Neil Magny give his thoughts on the Chimaev fight falling through, and his though his team might have thought that Leon Edwards was the easier fight for him, he matched up better against Leon Edwards than he would have against me".

Neil Magny joins Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show to discuss his frustration about not getting the fight against Khamzat Chimaev , with Leon Edwards getting the bout on Dec. 19. (10:25) Magny says he’s going to start being more vocal, referencing Chael Sonnen’s comments about him weeks ago about

UFC welterweight contender Neil Magny is disappointed he won't be fighting Khamzat Chimaev on Dec. 19.

Magny expressed interest in the matchup earlier in October, and UFC president Dana White noted that he was among the few fighters willing to take the clash.

But the promotion went in a different direction, booking Chimaev - the sport's hottest prospect - against No. 3-ranked Leon Edwards in the UFC Fight Night main event in Las Vegas.

"It was pretty frustrating that I didn't get that matchup," Magny told ESPN's Ariel Helwani in an interview released Wednesday. "But it was even more frustrating that it went to Leon Edwards."

4 storylines to watch at UFC 254

4 storylines to watch at UFC 254 Khabib Nurmagomedov will defend his lightweight title against interim champion Justin Gaethje in Saturday's UFC 254 main event in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Here are four key storylines heading into the pay-per-view event. Can Gaethje challenge Khabib? Many believe that if anyone can beat Nurmagomedov at 155 pounds, it's Gaethje. Gaethje possesses the perfect style to pull off the upset and hand Nurmagomedov his first professional loss. He's a technical brawler with power in both hands and a former NCAA Division I All-American collegiate wrestler, and, most importantly, he never takes a step backward in the Octagon.

If Khamzat beats Magny (a risky fight ) he really didn't advance very far up the ladder. Edwards is dangerous too - in a very different way - but There was an interview with Chimaev from this weekend where they asked what happened with the Magny fight . Khamzat said that Magny had declined since

So Magny turned down the fight ? Magny is out? This is ridiculous. UFC reported that Maia was a done deal. Then we were told Wonderboy was signed. Then Magny . Yet we got nothing. I wish they wouldn't report any of this bullshit until it is truly signed.

Magny said his manager told him last week that the Chimaev fight was a "done deal." The next day, Magny found out about the Edwards booking, and he was "dumbfounded." He still doesn't know what happened.

"The only thing I can possibly think of that caused this fight not to go through is (Chimaev's) team thought it was a better matchup for him," Magny said. "I'm not gonna sit there and tout my own horn and say that fighting a No. 8 guy is a better deal than fighting a No. 3 guy. But I'm pretty sure his team might've thought that Leon Edwards is the easier fight for him."

Magny is coming off a win over former champion Robbie Lawler in August. Now, all he can do is wait for a new matchup.

"I honestly feel kind of defeated by the whole situation," Magny said. "I mean, if it wasn't Khamzat, then give me somebody. Give me (Michael) Chiesa, give me 'Wonderboy,' give me any of these guys that are ranked and haven't fought in a while."

Drudge Report Needles Trump With 'Art of the Deal' Excerpt: 'You Can't Con People…' .
Matt Drudge added fuel to the fire in his ongoing feud with President Donald Trump on Friday by prominently featuring an excerpt from Trump's "The Art of the Deal" where he mused on why Jimmy Carter did not win reelection: "You can't con people, at least not for long." The Drudge Report, a conservative news aggregator run by Matt Drudge, has faced mounting criticism from Republicans — including President Trump — for seemingly tilting away from cheering Trump on. When the excerpt appeared atop the site, the top story declared that Biden was "on the brink of victory.
