Eriksen leaving in January?

But despite the talent we know, the Dane is struggling to chain tenures and even seems to be moving away from the plans of Antonio Conte, who has only established him three times this season. A problem that worries him and could push him to a premature departure.

Inter are willing to offer Christian Eriksen to Arsenal in a swap deal for Granit Xhaka, according to reports in Italy. Eriksen has struggled to secure a regular role under Antonio Conte since he made the £17 million move from Tottenham to Inter in January. Conte is keen to bolster his midfield options and

Arsenal have been offered an opportunity to sign Christian Eriksen for less than the £16.9 million Inter Milan shelled out to Tottenham in January, according to a report from ESPN FC's James Olley.

Eriksen, who has also been linked with Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United, could be had for as little as £12 million.

The Danish international joined Inter in January on a four-and-a-half-year deal but started just 11 Serie A matches since then after falling in Antonio Conte's pecking order.

Eriksen publicly expressed his frustrations with the situation at Inter earlier in the month, saying, "This isn't what I dreamed of.

Inter chief gives Arsenal hope on Eriksen front. Christian Eriksen ’ s future at Inter Milan appears to While there has been little direct progress towards his exit, new comments from Inter chief Beppe “Right now we have not received offers , but he wants to try another league,” Alarcon told El Larguero

"It is a bit of a strange situation, as the fans want to see me playing more and so would I, but the coach has different ideas and as a player, I have to respect that."

Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta has also weighed in on Eriksen's standing, hinting at a potential January exit. Giuseppe Marotta claims Inter will "evaluate the situation," adding the club does "not have to force a player to stay when he asks to leave."

The playmaking midfielder's creative assets are sorely needed on an Arsenal side that has scored just nine league goals in as many matches.

What remains to be seen is if the 28-year-old's unhurried demeanor is suitable for Gunners boss Mikel Arteta's positionally rigid and high-pressing style. Mesut Ozil, Arsenal's highest earner on £350,000-a-week, was left out of Arteta's first-team this season for similar reasons.

Eriksen could become just the sixth player in the Premier League era to enlist with both members of a bitter rivalry, joining the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, William Gallas, and Sol Campbell.
