Head coach David Quinn said that Zibanejad has “had a couple of good days.

The Blue Jackets’ second victory in six games came shortly after Dubois, one of the team’s leading scorers, was sent to Winnipeg in exchange for Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic in a deal announced early Saturday.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Corey Perry scored in his first game with Montreal in a win over Vancouver that concluded a stellar season-opening trip.

Montreal improved to 4-0-2, joining the 1968-69 Canadiens as the only teams in NHL history to open a season with six road games and get at least a point in each of them.

Perry was promoted off the taxi squad to replace Joel Armia, who was concussed by a hit from Vancouver’s Tyler Myers as the Canadiens trounced the Canucks 7-3 on Thursday. Montreal also got goals Saturday from Nick Suzuki, Brendan Gallagher, Jonathan Drouin and Joel Edmundson. Elias Pettersson and Nils Hoglander scored for Vancouver.

Canadiens among teams interested in Blue Jackets' Pierre-Luc Dubois

Canadiens among teams interested in Blue Jackets' Pierre-Luc Dubois The Canadiens didn’t get a chance to select Pierre-Luc Dubois at the 2016 NHL Draft, but they might have a chance to get him now. The Columbus Blue Jackets selected the 6-foot-3, 218-pound centre from Ste-Agathe-des-Monts with the No. 3 overall pick that year after the Toronto Maple Leafs picked Auston Matthews and the Winnipeg Jets took Patrik Laine. The Canadiens selected defenceman Mikhail Sergachev with the No. 9 overall pick and a year later traded him to the Tampa Bay Lightning for Jonathan Drouin. Before the draft in 2016, there was speculation the Canadiens might make a trade to move up in the selection order and get Dubois.

Dubois was sent to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for right winger Patrik Laine and Columbus native Jack Roslovic on Saturday. After a drop-pass by Grigorenko, Vasilevskiy appeared to stop Kevin Stenlund’s blast from the right circle.

Dubois played less than four minutes against the Lightning , all in the first period of a game that went to OT. Tortorella deflected such questions about benching Dubois , but after that display in the Blue Jackets ’ 3-2 OT loss to the Lightning , what can you really say?

Carey Price made 23 saves to collect his 350th NHL win. Vancouver’s Braden Holtby stopped 28 shots.

BRUINS 6, FLYERS 1

BOSTON (AP) — Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron had two goals apiece and Boston, which hadn’t led by two goals in any of its first four games this season, scored five times in a row to pull away and beat Philadelphia.

Charlie Coyle and Craig Smith each had a goal and an assist in the second period to break open a 1-1 tie. Marchand scored twice in the third, and Bergeron finished it off with his second goal of the night to help Boston earn its second straight victory over Philadelphia.

Jaroslav Halak stopped 16 shots for his first win of the season.

Kevin Hayes scored and Carter Hart made 20 saves for Philadelphia.

Korpisalo makes 31 stops, Blue Jackets beat Blackhawks 2-1 .
CHICAGO — The Columbus Blue Jackets had tired legs and a fresh Joonas Korpisalo. On Friday night, at least, it was enough. Korpisalo made 31 saves and Oliver Bjorkstrand had a goal and an assist, sending Columbus to a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks. “We weren't as sharp as we like to be, but Korpisalo was easily our best player,” coach John Tortorella said. The Blue Jackets have one of the NHL's best goaltender tandems in Korpisalo and Elvis Merzlikins, and that duo played a key role in consecutive wins. A night after Merzlikins had 33 saves in a 3-2 shootout victory over Florida, Korpisalo took over.
