NFL Mock Draft 2021: Here's what happens when we let Madden simulate the picks What if we let the virtual GMs decide the outcome of the 2021 NFL Draft? Here's how our experiment went down.Experts will break down team needs, watch film of the top college prospects and predict (to the best of their ability) where players will get drafted. We're going to be doing none of that in this mock draft. Here, we're going to set everything up so that the virtual GMs and coaches in "Madden 21" will be making the picks for us.

Giants announce unsurprising Saquon Barkley money move. Barkley , 24, was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year after rushing for 1,307 yards and catching 91 passes. He missed time in 2019 with a high ankle sprain and ran for 1,003 yards, becoming the first player in Giants history to rush for at least 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons.

The Giants ’ front office was widely criticized for drafting Saquon Barkley No. 2 overall in 2018. Expect the same thing to happen with his next contract . The recent trend of NFL running backs receiving big-money contracts is set to pay off in a big way for Saquon Barkley . He could easily be the next guy to Saqoun Barkley ’s contract won’t be based on wins and losses. In fairness to Barkley , the offense isn’t set up for him to succeed. He’s never had the privilege of running behind a good offensive line and the current group is in shambles. There’s a reason why he only managed to grind out six yards on 15

The 2018 Offensive Rookie of the Year is recovering from a torn right ACL in Week 2 of last season.

Barkley, the No. 2 overall draft pick in 2018, ran for 1,307 yards that season and caught 91 passes for 721 yards. He had 15 touchdowns combined rushing and receiving.

Barkley had 1,441 yards from scrimmage in 2019, but missed three games because of a high ankle sprain.

He is hopeful to be ready for training camp this summer.

“Very excited,” Barkley told The Associated Press during the winter. “Obviously things were a little shaky in the beginning of the year. ... I got hurt, they started getting things clicking and I think you saw when we got the running game going, we were very hard to beat. When you have a great running game, a great defence and a great quarterback and talent all around, which I believe we have, we can take that middle portion toward the end of the season when we played some of our best ball and start off with that, I think we’re going to be in a very good place.”

The Giants finished 6-10 in 2020, but barely missed winning the weak NFC East that Washington took at 7-9.

Barkley now will earn a fully guaranteed $7.217 million in 2022.
