Carsten Charles Sabathia Jr. (born July 21, 1980) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played 19 seasons in Major League Baseball ( MLB ), primarily with the New York Yankees.

Amber Sabathia had it all planned out. She would fly with her four kids to Anaheim, where they would watch their left-handed patriarch strike out the 3,000th batter of his career. They would celebrate, the kids would only miss a few days of school, then she would join the Yankees in San Francisco and watch CC pitch again in Arizona. She certainly did not plan to dedicate the first two decades of her adult life to baseball . In fact, she hardly thought of her boyfriend, CC, as a baseball player when their relationship started in high school.

Amber Sabathia already carried plenty of titles to her name.

A baseball wife. A mother of four children. A co-founder and executive director of a foundation that works to improve the lives of inner-city kids.

As of Monday, she can add another occupation to the list: Major League Baseball agent.

From NFL plays to college sports scores, all the top sports news you need to know every day.

Sabathia, the wife of former MLB pitcher CC Sabathia, has joined the baseball arm of Creative Arts Agency (CAA), the company announced.

"Having a front row seat alongside CC's career throughout the past two decades provided me with critical insight and experience in business, marketing and philanthropy," Sabathia said in a statement. "I recognize my unique ability to support, advise and lead all facets of the process with players and their families.

MLB WAG Amber Sabathia is the loving, beautiful wife of MLB player C.C Sabathia the pitcher with the New York Yankees. Read about Amber Sabathia ' s Bio here. Amber Sabathia has been a Yankee WAG for 5 years, but after her husband CC Sabathia ’ s season ended with a injury his future with NY was clear, thanks to Jay-Z Amber and her hubby have they future secure, C.C like Robinson Cano are now being represented by the famous rapper’ s Roc Nation who also represents NFL player Victor Cruz.

CC Sabathia has had one hell of a year. His 2019 MLB season with the New York Yankees began while he was still recovering from heart surgery. He later sustained a partially dislocated shoulder and knee injury, both of which expedited the end of his pro baseball career, and he retired from the sport in October. While fans might have expected Sabathia to spend the first six months or so of his retirement resting while he recovered from his injuries (and honestly, who would blame him?), the former pitcher has actually been hitting the gym.

Canadiens' Carey Price returns to Montreal to get treatment for concussion

Canadiens' Carey Price returns to Montreal to get treatment for concussion The Canadiens aren’t scheduled to play again at home until Wednesday, but Carey Price will be there waiting. The goaltender has returned to Montreal to receive further treatment for his concussion. On Tuesday, head coach Dominique Ducharme ruled out Price for at least a week, but with a concussion, the return timeline is always a little hazy. © Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports Canadiens goaltender Carey Price had been ruled out for at least a week with a concussion.

Sabathia and his wife, Amber , both natives of Northern California, have raised their four children in the New York area and have no intention of moving once he retires. A deal for any of them would require the Yankees to give up talent from their deep farm system, but a trade is preferable to the free- agent market, which would make it harder for the Yankees to remain below the 7 luxury tax threshold next season. The Yankees have deemed this critical, because they can then avoid onerous penalties if they go over the threshold for a rich free- agent class a year from now.

CC Sabathia hopes to take a front office role with the Yankees once he retires as a player at season' s end. Read more at MLB Trade Rumors. Kuty notes that Sabathia has been in general manager Brian Cashman’ s ear about a potential special assistant role. Sabathia would hardly be the only retired big leaguer to take such a position in a team’ s front office. Within the past year and a half, the Yankees themselves have hired Carlos Beltran (link) and Andy Pettitte (link) as special advisors to the baseball operations department, for instance.

He congratulated his wife on Twitter, writing: "She's built for this!"

Together, the Sabathias founded the PitCCh In Foundation. Based in New York and CC's hometown of Vallejo, California, Amber has been the executive director of the organization.
