Comparing Yahoo!, ESPN fantasy football rankings for 2021 to find sleepers, busts

Comparing Yahoo!, ESPN fantasy football rankings for 2021 to find sleepers, busts Fantasy football rankings on sites like ESPN and Yahoo! can vary greatly, so if you play on more than one, you need to study the differences to help put together the proper draft strategy and find sleepers and busts. The constantly updated consensus rankings at Fantasy Pros are a helpful composite, but chances are you will be drafting and playing a lot of fantasy football leagues on either Yahoo! or ESPN. Although Yahoo! defaults to half-point PPR and ESPN goes with standard, there are some intriguing differences between both sites' main rankings, so if you play on both, you must be able to find different sleepers and need to utilize different draft strategies.

In 2018, the Big 12 announced its current slogan: “Every Game Matters.” That will certainly be the case this season in a competitive conference lineup.

For the sixth straight year, No. 2 Oklahoma was picked to win the league title in the Big 12 Football Preseason Poll. However, the Sooners will have sturdy competition within their conference, most notably against No. 7 Iowa State, which returns 19 starters including senior quarterback Brock Purdy.

No. 18 Iowa, which won its final six games last season, will also look to make a splash in the conference along with No. 21 Texas, which is entering its first season under head coach Steve Sarkisian.

Opinion: College football is evolving past coaches like Nick Rolovich, even if a few are still around

Opinion: College football is evolving past coaches like Nick Rolovich, even if a few are still around The question isn’t whether Washington State has to fire him; it’s how long and at what cost they will allow Rolovich’s self-immolation to continue. The latest, and potentially most explosive strike against Rolovich’s credibility came in the form of a federal lawsuit filed Aug. 20 by former player Kassidy Woods.

The Big 12 does not have any other teams ranked in the AP Top 25, though Oklahoma State ranked just outside the poll with 107 votes and TCU had the third-most votes outside of the Top 25 at 40.

With Oklahoma sophomore quarterback Spencer Rattler and Texas sophomore running back Bijan Robinson headlining the league, the Big 12 should have no shortage of eye-popping moments this season. Thankfully, you don’t have to miss any of them!

Sporting News has you covered on how to watch every Big 12 game, all without the need for a cable subscription.
