Matthew Tkachuk not impressed by brother Brady's captaincy Sibling rivalry is nothing new in professional sports, but the Tkachuk brothers are seemingly ready to go at each other’s throats whenever the opportunity arises. Things escalated quickly during a scuffle between Senators forward Brady Tkachuk and Kings forward Brendan Lemieux on Saturday night.

Late in the third period of the Kings' 4-2 victory, Tkachuk and Lemieux got together after the whistle and earned double minors for roughing. As Tkachuk got up to skate toward the penalty box, he showed officials a bloodied hand and claimed that Lemieux bit him.

Why did Kings fire Luke Walton? Sacramento dismisses head coach after lackluster start to season

"Kids don't even do that anymore. Babies do that," Tkachuk said, per Garrioch.

Tkachuk will have extra time to recover. The Senators' next game is Wednesday when they host the Canucks in Ottawa.

Kempe scores twice, L.A. Kings capitalize on McDavid game misconduct .
EDMONTON — Sticking to the game plan was key, but having Connor McDavid exit the contest on a game misconduct didn’t hurt the Los Angeles Kings either. Adrian Kempe scored a pair of goals and Los Angeles snapped a two-game losing skid by defeating the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 on Sunday. It was the Kings' second win in their last nine outings. Rasmus Kupari, Drew Doughty and Trevor Moore also scored for the Kings (10-9-4), which scored three power-play goals in a span of 2:19 late in the third period after McDavid took a boarding major for hitting Kempe from behind. “We just stuck to our game plan, we didn’t sit back, kept pushing forward,” Doughty said.
