Sports Seahawks: Defensive Coordinator Norton Jr. Before from
National Football League Today, Week 17
SCOREBOARD Monday, Jan. 3 Cleveland at Pittsburgh, 8:15 p.m. EST. The AFC North looked like one of the better divisions in football earlier in the year, but has descended into mediocrity with Pittsburgh (7-7-1), Cleveland (7-8) and Baltimore (8-8) hovering around .500. Cincinnati (10-6) clinched the division by beating Kansas City on Sunday. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has strongly hinted this will be his last season, which would make this his final game at Heinz Field. The Steelers have a slim chance to make the playoffs but would open on the road.
Munich / Seattle - While eight teams in the playoffs are still fighting for the move to Super Bowl, the rest of the first personnel decisions are on.
In the case of Seattle Seahawks, it could come to the separation of defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr.. As the "Seattle Times" reports, he and Defensive Pass Game Coordinator Andre Curtis are standing out before.Pass Defense with Horror Numbers
The decision is likely to be the result of the defensive disclosure of SEAHAWKS defense in recent years. Also 2021 sets the Passportigun Horror numbers. With almost 266 passing yards on average, Seattle had to swallow the second mists of yards of the entire league through the air.
Alouettes repatriate Jeff Reinebold to coach special-teams unit
Jeff Reinebold is returning to the Alouettes after a 10-year absence to serve as the special-teams coordinator. The 63-year-old was the Alouettes’ defensive coordinator in 2012, when the defence led the CFL’s Eastern Division in scoring and total defence. Reinebold has nearly 40 years of coaching experience, including 16 seasons in the CFL. He was the head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1997 and ’98. Reinebold has spent the past three seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and helped them to back-to-back appearances in the Grey Cup.
According to "ProfootballTalk", the Seahawks presented the five-schlechest defense in general. While frequently speculated in recent weeks about a farewell to Head Coach Pete Carroll, it probably meets a part of his coaching staff.
The defensive coordinator is Norton Jr. since 2018 at the Seahawks. But before it was an important part of the successful Seahawk's decade in the 2010er years. As a linebacker coach between 2010 and 2014, he won a Super Bowl with Seattle and was co-founder of the legendary "Legion of Boom", which was over the years as the best defense of the league.
as a possible replacement for Norton Jr. Name the report of the "Seattle Times" Defensive Line Coach Clint Hurtett as an internal solution. Also Defensive Coordinator Ed Donatell by Denver Broncos is traded as a possible candidate on the soon open spot.
