Babcock, of course, was born in Manitouwadge, Ont., but was raised in Saskatoon; Gulutzan was born in The Pas, Man., but grew up in tiny Hudson Bay, which isn’t near a bay. They are Saskatchewan guys, for everything that means.

Kevin Garnett won't be changing his tone about Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor anytime soon. "I would love to be part of a group that buys him out and kind of removes him and go forward."

Garnett has shown interest in an ownership role in the past; however, the idea of owning the Timberwolves with Taylor is out of the question.

"I don’t want to be partners with Glen [Taylor], and I wouldn’t want to be partners with Glen in Minnesota," Garnett said, according to Shlomo Sprung of Awful Announcing. "I would love to be part of a group that buys him out and kind of removes him and go forward."

Taylor bought the franchise in 1994, drafting Garnett the following year. Garnett played his first 12 seasons with the franchise before being traded to Boston in 2006. He finished his career in Minnesota, signing on in an effort to become a developmental mentor for the franchise.

He told Awful Announcing that he would love to do so, but that it would only be done if he didn't have to partner with current owner Glen Taylor . “I would love to be part of a group that buys him out and kind of removes him and go forward.” Garnett not liking Taylor isn't new.

It didn't work out at the time, but the notion of owning part of the T ' Wolves is still something Garnett thinks about. He told Awful Announcing that he would love to do so, but that it would only be done if he didn't have to partner with current owner Glen Taylor .

Since playing his final game as a member of the Timberwolves, Garnett hasn't hesitated to criticize Taylor. Just this past April, Garnett told USA Today his post-retirement involvement with the team showed him "the true Glen Taylor," feeling his value to the franchise was not appreciated by the Timberwolves owner.
